Interactions of Astrophysical Neutrinos with Dark Matter: A model building perspective

We explore the possibility that high energy astrophysical neutrinos can interact with the dark matter on their way to Earth. Keeping in mind that new physics might leave its signature at such energies, we have considered all possible topologies for effective interactions between neutrino and dark matter. Building models, that give rise to a significant flux suppression of astrophysical neutrinos at Earth, is rather difficult. We present a ZZ^{\prime}-mediated model in this context. Encompassing a large variety of models, a wide range of dark matter masses from 102110^{-21}eV up to a TeV, this study aims at highlighting the challenges one encounters in such a model building endeavour after satisfying various cosmological constraints, collider search limits and electroweak precision measurements.Comment: 41 pages, 18 figures; to appear in JHE

Quantum Mechanical Analysis of GaN Nanowire Transistor for High Voltage Applications

    Get PDF
The paper presents the quantum mechanical analysis of Gallium Nitride nanowire transistor. The effect of high k gate dielectric and different gate metals on the electrical characteristics of the device is studied. Nanowire width has been reduced to have a proper control on the device characteristics at reduced gate length. A high value of drain current is obtained at gate length of 10 nm and nanowire radius equal to 10 nm, is obtained. Also high voltage operation of the device upto 40 volts has been shown. A flatter transconductance curve is obtained which shows the linearity of the device. The results obtained are comparable with the experimental and simulated data reported in literature

A novel digital background calibration technique for 16 bit SHA-less multibit pipelined ADC

In this paper, a high resolution of 16 bit and high speed of 125MS/s, multibit Pipelined ADC with digital background calibration is presented. In order to achieve low power, SHA-less front end is used with multibit stages. The first and second stages are used here as a 3.5 bit and the stages from third to seventh are of 2.5 bit and last stage is of 3-bit flash ADC. After bit alignment and truncation of total 19 bits, 16 bits are used as final digital output. To precise the remove linear gain error of the residue amplifier and capacitor mismatching error, a digital background calibration technique is used, which is a combination of signal dependent dithering (SDD) and butterfly shuffler. To improve settling time of residue amplifier, a special circuit of voltage separation is used. With the proposed digital background calibration technique, the spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) has been improved to 97.74 dB @30 MHz and 88.9 dB @150 MHz, and the signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SNDR) has been improved to 79.77 dB @ 30 MHz, and 73.5 dB @ 150 MHz. The implementation of the Pipelined ADC has been completed with technology parameters of 0.18μm CMOS process with 1.8 V supply. Total power consumption is 300 mW by the proposed ADC

In Ayurveda classics it is pointed out that cow’s milk have Vamaka, Virechaka, Sarama and Abhisyandi properties. In classics, it has been mentioned that cow milk should always be processed with Laghupanchmoola before it is consumed. Aims and Objectives of the study: To study Aetiopathogensis of cow milk protein allergy and to evaluate the efficacy of Laghupanchmoola sadhit cow milk in CMPA. Material & Methods: To fulfill the above Aims and Objectives: Total 35 patients were selected between the age group of 0-3 years of age with symptoms of CMPA. Hb%, complete history and elimination-challenge test were used for evaluation of the patients. Laghupanchmoola granules dose depend upon age and duration of trial was 60 days. Results: After analyzing the data statistically in 30 patients, statistically highly significant improvements were found in diarrhea, abdominal pain, respiratory difficulty and vomiting. Significant improvements were found in dermatitis. No improvement was found in anemia and nausea. Statistically highly significant improvement was found in weight, height, mid arm circumference, chest circumference and head circumference. After full observation of treatment modules, it was found that: Number of patient with complete improvement was 0, Number of patient unchanged was 2 (6.5%), Mild improvement was observed in 05 patients (16.6%), and Moderate improvement was observed in 21 patients (70%), where marked improvement was observed in 2 patients (6.7%). Conclusion: Laghupanchmoola proved quite effective in managing the patients of CMPA due to its Tridoṣahar, Deepana, Aamdoshanasaka, Balya and Brahmanna properties

This work presents simulation study and analysis of nanoscale III-V Heterojunction Gate All Around Tunnel Field Effect Transistor, along with the extraction of small signal parameters of the device. Transfer characteristics and output characteristics of the device were observed. The device is simulated for extraction of small signal parameters such as transconductance, gate-source capacitance, gate-drain capacitance, by varying doping concentration of drain region and channel length. Cut-off frequency of the device is also obtained. The results reported agree well with the data available in literature
